Tynedale Hospice at Home Services
Nursing Care in the Home
Being diagnosed with a life-limiting illness or palliative condition can be a daunting experience, and for many people, being cared for in their own home, surrounded by people they know and love, can make a big difference. The service is free and available to adults with life-limiting illnesses or palliative care needs.
Pre & Post Bereavement Support for Children, Adults and Families
The diagnosis of a life-limiting condition or the sudden death of a loved one can be a frightening experience. Tynedale Hospice at Home provides support and aims to help those left behind, cope and adapt in their new situation. This free and confidential service is available to anyone living in Tynedale, West Northumberland and Ponteland.
Hospital Transport Service
When you are diagnosed with a life-limiting illness, getting to hospital appointments for treatment should be the least of your worries. But for many people living in rural communities the distance from home to the hospital can be a barrier to getting to these appointments, causing anxiety at a difficult time. Our volunteer drivers provide a discreet and friendly door-to-door service to and from hospital, eliminating the stress and worry of travel. This service is free of charge and available to those living in our area.
