Predatory Marriage – A Hidden Crime

Sign up via  https://ncc.learningpool.com/course/view.php?id=3633

This one-hour virtual session is delivered by Daphne Franks who talks about her true-life experience of predatory marriage.

Daphne’s mother, Joan Blass had severe vascular dementia and terminal cancer, was found after her death to have married in secret five months earlier, to a much younger man.  Daphne did not know of the marriage, nor did any family members, even though Daphne lived next door. Daphne has been campaigning for six years to close the safeguarding loopholes and remove the legal incentives that permit such marriages to happen. Daphne will tell of the far-reaching consequences of this hidden and increasing crime.
