Further information about what the day will involve:
We welcome you to join us in Kirknewton Village in College Valley for a Wild Wellbeing Day, where we come together to slow down, connect, and explore the rich natural and historical landscape of the area. Nestled in a landscape shaped by both time and people, the valley offers a living classroom of woodlands, wildlife, and heritage features that tell the story of how nature and human life have intertwined here over generations.
Throughout the day, you’ll have the opportunity to walk, observe, and reflect together – discovering local habitats, learning about the area’s past, and experiencing the restorative value of being outdoors in shared company.
Please note: The day will involve some walking, including sections of uneven ground and gentle uphill paths. If you are unsure whether this activity is suitable for your mobility or fitness level, or if you have any questions, please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss the details with you. This session is free and open to anyone aged 18+ who lives or works in Northumberland. If you would like to join, email nrc@everyturn.org. If you’re not enrolled with us and wish to join, please complete our Referral Form.
